DIRECTOR-LINDSAY RYAN-Lindsay Ryan is a stage manager, director, and writer. She was able to hone her craft at Etobicoke School of the Arts, Ryerson Theatre School and eventually earned her Honours BA at Concordia University. She has had the opportunity to work on many productions, such as Randolph Academy’s Thoroughly Modern Millie, Carlos Bulosan Theatre’s People Power, Spark/ Expect Theatre’s Static, and many others. Her work in theatre has enabled her to work in many marvelous venues, such as Dancemaker’s studios in the distillery district, the Harbourfront Centre, Bathurst Street Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, etc.. Lindsay lives in Hamilton and has taken a day job at McMaster University as administrative support to the DeGroote School of Business, however, in her free time continues to pursue her love of all things dramatic.
PLAYWRIGHT-JOSH DOWNING-Josh is a Toronto playwright/director originally from the West Coast where he studied in the Douglas College Theatre Program. His short plays have been in Gay Play Day, HamilTEN Festival and InspiraTO Festival. He has also directed several plays seen in Gay Play Day, HamilTEN Festival, InspiraTO Festival and New Ideas Festival. Excited to be one of the Director Leads for InspiraTO Director’s Toolbox this year. Josh is also producing his one act play, Tears of a Bullet in Toronto Fringe July 2018 with his production company The Hobby Horse.
ANDREA-KARA DYMOND is a teacher and PhD candidate focusing on improving autism education at OISE (U of T). She is a theatrical jack-of-all-trades, as an actor, singer, playwright, dramaturge, producer, and stage manager. She sings regularly in the St. Michael's College Schola Cantorum, performing in concert with the Musicians in Ordinary. Her favourite acting credits include Kelly in The Drowned World (muckheap productions); Mucius’ wife in Caligula (Alluvion Theatre); Albertine in Past Perfect, Kent in King Lear, Edna in Waiting for Lefty (UCDP); Lampito in Lysistrata (Hart House Theatre); Dorothy in Wizard of Oz, Martha in The Secret Garden, Anne in Anne of Green Gables, and Ko-Ko in The Mikado (Opera Buffa/Wavestage Theatre Co.).
MARION-JOANNE STEVEN-Joanne Steven is a Hamilton-based actor engaged in improv, theatre, film, TV and commercial work. Most recently, she wrote and performed The Retirement Party for the MindPLAY festival at the Staircase theatre in May 2018. This is Joanne’s first Fringe performing experience, and she is delighted to bring the complex character of Marion to life.
TOM-DAVID O’GARR-originally hailing from Guelph, has called Hamilton his home for nearly a decade. He is excited to make his Fringe debut with The Elephant Circle. Past credits include Benjamin in Ripcord (Dundas Little Theatre) and Manfred in Sunset Boulevard (Hammer Entertainment). He recently produced his own piece at Queer on Stage and is working with them to expand that showcase into a festival for next year. He is incredibly thankful for the amazing and beautiful theatre community that he has found here in Hamilton, that made it feel like home.
